Hi James, go on www.baseballsoftballuk.com, register 1st with them. Then go back in & logon with the username you just created. Click on join a club from the menu on the left side of the screen and choose Manchester. You should then appear on my membership list, therfore I can go ahead & roster you. Hope this helps! wink 12 March 2010

Cool, always good to have another name on the roster. I was thinking I could put posters up at uni to try and find some new recruits. Good idea? 11 March 2010

Morning all...

For all of you baseball fans out there pining for the new season to begin after last seasons sucessful campaign for both teams. Pre-season senior (14yrs upwards) training begins again with hour long sessions on Sundays from 2pm-3pm indoors at Platt Lane Dome at:

Platt Lane Complex
Yew Tree Road,
Fallowfield
Manchester
M14 7UU
ABSOLUTELY NO CLEATS OR FOOTBALL BLADES/STUDS. Trainers/Astro trainers only.

With the cold snap predicted to last for a while, seven sessions have been booked indoors.

17th January

24th January

31st January

7th February

14th February

21st February

28th February

At some point during February, the MBC Management team will make a decision dependant on how the weather is progressing as to when we will move outside to (probably):

The Armitage Centre
Moseley Road,
Fallowfield,
Manchester.
M14 6HE

ABSOLUTELY NO CLEATS OR FOOTBALL BLADES/STUDS. Trainers/Astro trainers only.

Outdoor astroturf training at The Armitage on Sundays will then take us through to the end of March, and training will begin again on Thursday 1st April at the ground. (Where you are more than welcome to wear your cleats!!)

These outdoor sessions on grass are, as ever, subject to weather conditions. We can not afford to ruin the diamond before the season even starts!

ALL!!! players expecting to play the 2010 season are expected to attend these training sessions. Obviously this is a leisure pursuit done in our own time so we do not expect everyone will be able to make every session regardless. If you cannot make ANY of these sessions then please do contact your team manager/assistant in the week leading up to, or the previous Sunday to make them aware you cannot make it. This allows our coaches to plan a session knowing roughly how many people will be practising.

Manchester A`s Chris Jackson or Ian Marginson

Manchester Torrent Ian Marchment

All Platt Lane and Armitage Centre training sessions will cost £2 per person. Any remaining costs will be picked by the club.

Again if you do not contact your manager we will expect you to be there on 17th January 2pm.

Do not be late!! These sessions are very short, and I am sure you do not want to be paying £2 to stand in the corner getting changed. Please be in reception ready to begin the session at 2pm. Remember last one there has to collect the training fees from everyone!!

See you all next Sunday.
