In August I am offering to run a two day baseball camp for all players in PONY level and above. The details are as follows:
Monday, 18/8, Halton Baseball Field, Halton
Tuesday, 19/8, Manchester Baseball Field, Manchester
Each of these sessions will run from 9AM-3PM with 1/2 hour for lunch (Players will bring their own lunch/snacks/drinks). The camp will be quite advanced which is why it is open to only those who have played at Pony level and above. During the mornings we will be working on fundamentals. The afternoons will focus on position specific work and a simulated game. These sessions are intended to not only build skill levels but demonstrate that to play baseball successfully it must be done correctly and often.
Adult and Pony players from all teams in the North West are invited to participate in both sessions. Please do mention this to your teams. I will be around in the coming weeks to gauge interest and collect names of those who are interested. In the next few days I will have a simple permission slip put together.
Again, please do pass this information along to your teams. I think these sessions will be worth the time.

Yup, we killed it!! Manchester guys did really well!! Especially Mr. Gaskell who emerged to be the Knights first choice Catcher against Ireland in the Final - with what can only be described as a PERFECT throw down to second to get the out against arguably the fastest guy playing in the south (CF for London Mets) and maybe England.
Mercado had great game on the mound with an ERA of .1 or something stupid like that THEN after that being the beast at Short Stop and killing it with the bat!
I think MBC can be very proud of the guys representing them in Ireland.
